This policy explains what the Motivinfo app collects, why, where it is kept, who else can see it, and how to delete it. It applies only to the Motivinfo Android app and to motivinfo.io.

Who we are

The Motivinfo app is published by Motivinfo Labs, a sole proprietorship registered in India. We are the data controller for the information described below.

What we collect, and why

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and Google gives us an anonymous account identifier. We use these only to sign you in and to attach your journal to you. We do not use your email for marketing unless you separately ask us to.

What you write in the app

The app stores the content you create so that it survives reinstalling the app or changing phone:

• Your daily journal pages — the three prompts you answer each day
• Your Day 1 and Day 90 reflections
• Your list of what you want in your life, and which items you have marked as arrived
• The text labels you put on vision board pictures
• Which day of the ninety you are on, and which days you have written

This is personal writing. We treat it that way. Nobody at Motivinfo Labs reads it as part of normal operations, it is never used to train any model, it is never sold, and it is never shared with advertisers or data brokers.

Subscription

If you buy a subscription, the payment is handled entirely by Google Play. We never see or store your card number, bank details or billing address. Google tells us only whether your subscription is active, so the app knows what to unlock.

What never leaves your phone

Some things the app uses are stored only on your device and are never uploaded to us or to anyone else:

• Your vision board photographs. The images themselves stay in the app's private storage on your phone. Only the short text label you type is synced. If you uninstall the app, those pictures are gone and we have no copy.
• The text of books you have downloaded, cached so they open offline
• Your reading position, text size and reading background
• Your tasks in the Work section

What we do not collect at all

The Motivinfo app contains no advertising network, no analytics software and no third-party tracking tools. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Your advertising ID, or any identifier used for advertising
• Your location, at any level of precision
• Your contacts, call logs, SMS, or installed app list
• Your photos or media library — the app uses Android's own photo picker, so it only ever receives the single picture you choose
• Your microphone or camera
• Your browsing or app-usage behaviour

The app requests only two Android permissions: INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, which it needs to sync your journal and tell you when you are offline.

Who we share data with

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf:

Google acts as our processor under its own terms, which you can read in the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation and the Google Privacy Policy.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to by a valid court order or law, or if it is necessary to protect the rights or safety of our users. If this ever happens we will tell the affected person unless the law prevents us.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Because Google operates globally, your information may be processed on servers outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Google maintains contractual safeguards for these transfers, including Standard Contractual Clauses where they apply.

How long we keep it

• While your account exists: we keep your journal and account information so the app works.
• After you delete your account: your data is removed from our live database immediately, and from routine encrypted backups within 30 days.
• Records we must keep: purchase and tax records may be retained for as long as Indian law requires. These do not contain your journal content.

Deleting your account and your data

You can delete your account and everything in it at any time. You do not need to contact us, and you do not need to explain why.

• In the app: open the You tab, then Delete account. You will be asked to confirm. This removes your account, your journal pages, your dreams, your board labels and your progress.
• On the web: visit motivinfo.io/delete-account, sign in, and confirm. Use this if you no longer have the app installed.
• By email: write to motivinfo07@gmail.com from your account's email address. We will complete the deletion within 30 days.

Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel that in the Google Play Store under Payments and subscriptions.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Give you a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correct anything that is wrong
• Delete your account and your data
• Stop processing your data, and withdraw any consent you have given

Write to motivinfo07@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are in India, these rights are recognised by the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you are in the EEA or the UK, they are recognised by the GDPR, and you may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

Data in transit between your phone and our servers is encrypted with TLS. Data at rest in Google Cloud is encrypted. Access to the database is restricted by security rules so that one account can only ever read and write its own journal. Administrative access is limited to the owner of Motivinfo Labs and protected by two-factor authentication.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your personal data we will notify you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

Children

Motivinfo is not directed at children. The app is intended for people aged 13 and over, and for people aged 18 and over where local law sets a higher age for consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect data from children below that age. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant we will also tell you inside the app before it takes effect.
